Havdala Meditation

This week’s Torah portion starts off the Book of Exodus, the start of the foundational story of our people. This chant comes from the part of the story where Moses encounters a bush alight in flame, and yet it was not being consumed by the flame. This is Moses’s “Here I am” (Hineini) moment, and when he asks who it is who is sending him to free the Israelites from their Narrow Place (Mitzrayim or Egypt), the Divine Voice responds with “Eheye Asher Eheye”… I Will Be What I Will Be.

Take some time to breathe and be whatever you will be in this moment…

I Will Be What I Will Be
Exodus 3:14
